Dear Florence
Received your letter of Mar 19 and am very glad to hear from you again. I have finished writing mama and Elizabeth a letter and though I should write you lesit should get balled out again. I have the postal card from you and Dan and think they are very United States like. Florence as I told mama I am feeling like a young lion and only one thing I am thinking about and that's when will we whip the Germans so that we can get back home again.
I have my helmet on my knee at present with a lit candle on the top; the candle is just about finished and if I don't hurry with this letter there will be no light to write by. Florence am glad to hear you are still working hard at knitting, also the rest of the kids in your room, you don't

know how important your work is. Florence I know mama anbd papa are still working hard and hope you are playing your part in helping them. You should be about 8 months bigger now and certainly wish you would send me your picture, also one of Edith. The kids I see here go to school in wooden shoes and their cloths are very shabby looking, bu they seem smart looking and are very happy. Most every[?] one of their fathers are on the front fighting and when school is out they work hard at home making a living. Well Florence I have told all the news in the other letters so there is little more to write. I must write Dan yet tonight and say hello to him.

Good night Florence, I must get another candle someplace.

With love,

Your Bro George

Write soon.
