The other night I went to see my little sweetheart.
To see her I must climb the garden wall.
I got myself all cut with broken bottles
And then into the garden I did fall.
Just then I heard a hungry bull dog barking
To scramble back I tried,
But all in vain.
I nearly lost the south side of my trousers
When that bulldog hauled me back again.
He hauled me back again.
I'll never go back as long as that bull dog is there
To haul me back again never.
